SC's Birth Through Five Plan Progress Brief

In February 2022, the South Carolina Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) released For Our Future: South Carolina’s Birth through Five Plan – a roadmap for optimizing the state's early childhood system and working towards a shared vision of success for every child. This brief provides updates for ECAC priorities established in 2024. A more comprehensive report is planned for later this year and will share progress in achieving the Birth through Five Plan overarching goals, and ECAC priorities for 2025-2026.

2024 First Five SC Stakeholder Engagement Report

State of Babies - 2023 Yearbook

Telling the story of babies is more important than ever. The data included in the State of Babies Yearbook helps policymakers understand the indications that too many babies face risks that can undermine development and therefore their ability to reach their potential—in other words, what to pay attention to. The data also can help policymakers think strategically about progress—the actions that can be taken to create meaningful and sustainable change for all families with young children.
